PTSC M&C CELEBRATES THE LOADOUT OF TOPSIDE AND COMPRESSOR MODULE FOR THE LAC DA VANG – A PLATFORM PROJECT

Jul 01, 2026

Located at Block 15-1/05 in the Cuu Long Basin, offshore Vietnam, Lac Da Vang is a significant upstream development operated by Murphy Cuu Long Bac, with PVEP and SK Earthon as partners. The Lac Da Vang – A Platform is the central processing facility of the project, designed to process crude oil to export quality before transferring it to the infield FSO for storage and offloading.

The loadout of the Topside and Compressor Module marks a key execution milestone for the Lac Da Vang field development. Beyond the project, it contributes to the continued development of Vietnam’s domestic offshore energy resources, supporting national energy security and strengthening the country’s offshore energy infrastructure.

Under the project, PTSC M&C undertakes the EPCIC scope for the Lac Da Vang – A Platform, covering engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, hook-up and commissioning. The milestone reflects close coordination among the Client, partners, project management team, engineering, HSE, QA/QC, construction teams, contractors and subcontractors throughout the execution process.

To date, the project has achieved nearly 4.5 million man-hours without a lost-time injury, with a peak workforce of nearly 1,450 people. This performance underscores the shared commitment of all parties to disciplined execution, quality control and safety-first project delivery.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Quang Hieu, Deputy Director of PTSC M&C stated: The Lac Da Vang Project is a milestone of trust, capability and people. It reflects the confidence placed in PTSC M&C by the Client and partners, our growing technical ownership through Detailed Engineering for a Central Processing Platform, and the collective effort of all teams who have contributed to this achievement. Above all, we are proud that this milestone has been reached with safety, discipline and commitment.”

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Jason Ritchie, General Manager of Lac Da Vang Development of Murphy Oil stated: Murphy is pleased to mark another important milestone in the Lac Da Vang project, our first development in Vietnam. We are encouraged by the completion of the onshore phase and the start of offshore topsides installation for the Central Processing Platform with PTSC M&C. Together with our partners and key stakeholders, we remain focused on safely advancing this next stage of development with PTSC M&C as we progress toward first oil in 2026.

Mr. Pham Gia Minh, Deputy Head of Petrovietnam’s Exploration and Production Department, emphasized: "The Lac Da Vang A Project holds strategic significance in sustaining upstream activities, optimizing the development of domestic oil and gas resources, and contributing to the strengthening of national energy security. In addition to its economic value, the project also opens up potential for connectivity and further development of adjacent fields in the area."

As the project progresses toward the next phase, PTSC M&C remains committed to maintaining the same principles that have guided the project to date: safety first, quality controlled, discipline maintained and commitment delivered.

The loadout milestone of the Topside and Compressor Module further strengthens PTSC M&C’s track record in delivering complex offshore projects and highlights the company’s continued development across the EPCIC value chain.
