Ho Chi Minh City, 22 April 2026 – PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation Limited – Cuu Long Petroleum Operating Branch (PVEP-CUU LONG) and PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation – Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C) officially signed the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning (EPCIC) Contract for the Su Tu Trang Phase 2B Project at a formal ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City.

The signing marks an important milestone in the development of the Su Tu Trang Phase 2B Project, reaffirming both parties’ commitment to moving the project into its next phase of implementation and contributing to Vietnam’s long-term gas supply and energy security.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from PetroVietnam, PVEP, PVEP-CUU LONG, PTSC, project partners, and key stakeholders, underscoring the strategic importance of the project and the close coordination among the parties involved.
Under the EPCIC contract, PTSC M&C will undertake the full scope of work for the project, covering engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, and commissioning of key offshore facilities. These include the ST-CGF Platform, the Link Bridge to ST-PIP, a new Living Quarters Module#2, Gas export SSIV, together with Umbilical systems and Subsea Tie-in spools. Upon completion, the project is expected to support efficient field development and strengthen offshore production infrastructure in Block 15-1.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Dac Hoa, representative of PVEP-Cuu Long, emphasized: “Su Tu Trang Phase 2B is a key project for PVEP Cuu Long and plays an important role in national energy security. With PTSC M&C’s proven experience, having executed nearly all of Cuu Long’s previous EPCI projects since 2008, I am fully confident that together we can deliver the Su Tu Trang Phase 2B Project ahead of schedule and within budget. PVEP Cuu Long is committed to working closely with PTSC M&C at every stage of the project. Together, I believe we will bring Su Tu Trang Phase 2B to a successful completion.”

At the ceremony, Mr. To Ngoc Tu, Managing Director of PTSC M&C stated: “The Su Tu Trang Phase 2B Project carries ambitious objectives and a demanding execution roadmap. With the contract taking effect from 28 June 2025, we are committed to meeting the key project milestones, with the offshore campaign for the CPP Topside targeted for completion by August 2028. We fully recognize the challenges ahead - from tight schedules to technical complexity. However, with our proven track record, experienced team, and the strong support of PTSC, we are confident in our ability to deliver this project safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.”

The partnership between PVEP-Cuu Long and PTSC M&C reflects a strong and well-established collaboration in Vietnam’s offshore oil and gas sector, built on proven domestic capability in executing large-scale offshore developments. This contract award further reaffirms the continued trust placed in PTSC M&C for projects within the Su Tu field cluster in Block 15-1, following successful cooperation on key developments such as Su Tu Den, Su Tu Nau, Su Tu Trang LTPTP, Su Tu Vang South West, and Su Tu Trang Phase 1.
Both parties reaffirm their shared commitment to delivering the project with safety as a non-negotiable priority, while upholding strong standards of environmental responsibility and sustainable development throughout the project lifecycle.
The signing ceremony brought together senior executives, project stakeholders, and representatives from both organizations, underscoring the strong alignment, mutual trust, and shared commitment between the Client and the Contractor in bringing this important project forward.
