FENGMIAO Project’s OFFSHORE SUBSTATION Fabrication REACHES 1 MILLION SAFE MAN-HOURS WITHOUT LTI

Sep 24, 2025

The Consortium of Semco Maritime A/S and PTSC Mechanical & Construction (PTSC M&C) is proud to announce that the offshore substation Fabrication of the Fengmiao Project has achieved one million safe man-hours without any Lost Time Injury (LTI) as of the end of August 2025.

This milestone represents collective dedication and the commitment to make safety a core value in every task. Toolbox talks, drills, training sessions, site walks, observation cards, PPE campaigns, and HSE incentives—thousands of such initiatives have built a strong and proactive safety culture. The spirit of “one team – one goal”, embraced by all stakeholders has been central to this success.

A celebration ceremony was held on September 23 to honor this achievement, where Ms. Charlotta Noren, EPC Director of the Fengmiao Project, made the remarks:

“This milestone is not about numbers alone. It is about people. It is about everyone working on this Project who show up every day, put on their helmets, step onto the yard, and give their very best. What we are celebrating today is proof that safety is not just a regulation, it is a value we live by. We care enough to look out for each other, to speak up when something is not right, and to ensure that everyone returns home safely to their families.”

On behalf of the consortium, Mr. Dang Minh Hai, Project Manager of PTSC M&C, added:

“This milestone is a testament to the collective commitment of our entire project team. We have balanced safety, progress, and quality without compromise. Through strong collaboration, everyone—regardless of role—has worked toward the same goal.”

The FengMiao Project, with a capacity of 500 MW, is a vital part of Taiwan’s offshore wind development. Fabrication is underway at PTSC M&C’s yard in Vung Tau, Vietnam, under strict international safety and quality standards.

This milestone is built hour by hour and day by day through the choices of everyone. One million safe hours is a remarkable achievement, but it is also a motivation to aim higher. With continued dedication and teamwork, the consortium is confident of delivering the project safely, on time, and to the highest quality—with the next milestone, two million safe hours, already on the horizon.
