SU TU VANG SOUTH WEST JACKET LOAD - OUT AND SAIL - AWAY CEREMONY

(16/5/2014)

At its fabrication yard in Vung Tau city, PTSC M&C hosted the load-out and sail away ceremony for the Su Tu Vang South West (SVSW) tripod jacket on 16 may 2014. Attendees to the celebration were representatives from PetroVietnam (PVN), PetroVietnam Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP), KNOC, Cuu Long JOC along with PTSC M&C’s Board of Directors. More than 100 project involved engineers and workers also turned up at the ceremony.

SVSW Project is the continuity of the Su Tu Vang North East (SVNE) success and considered as CLJOC’s strategic exploration and production schemes within block 15.1. Its facility encompasses a tripod platform weighing more than 2,000 tons, inclusive of modification work on the existing Su Tu Vang Central Processing Platform at the distance of approximately 7.2 kilometers.

Dating back a few months ago, on 20 February 2014, the first steel cutting of the SVSW Jacket was commenced at PTSC M&C’s fabrication yard. And within more than two months of execution, the company successfully completed construction of the jacket ahead of schedule under the safe manner and of high quality. Jacket offshore installation campaign was successfully conducted in June 2014, ready for Cuu Long JOC’s early drilling campaign in July 2014.

Also at this ceremony, PTSC M&C in coordination with Cuu Long JOC announced the project milestone of achieving 300,000 working man hours free of Lost Time Incidents (LTI). This achievement was thanks to the strict compliance with HSE requirements and procedures of all project team members at the fabrication site. Dedicated efforts and timely involvement of Cuu Long JOC and PTSC M&C’s project management team are deemed positive contributors to make this important milestone possible, highlighted by Cuu Long JOC’s management. The SVSW Project is scheduled for completion in September 2014, aiming at achieving targeted First Oil in October 2014.
