SU TU NAU JACKETS - RUN TO TARGET

With four great discoveries in block 15.1 namely Su Tu Den Oil field, Su Tu Vang Oil field, Su Tu Trang Gas - Condensate fi eld and Su Tu Nau Oil field, Cuu Long Joint Operating Company (CLJOC) has been known as one of the well - established operators in Vietnam. Since the Petroleum Contract of block 15.1 was signed in 1998, exploration and production activities in this block have been efficiently implemented with 230 million barrels of oil and 684 million cubic meters of gas produced.

 Recently CLJOC has embarked on the development of the Su Tu Nau (STN) field located in approximately forty -meter water - depth. The Su Tu Nau basement structure extends from the North - Eastern part of block 15.1 (CLJOC) to the South - Western part of block 01/97 (Lam Son JOC). The field is developed using two unmanned four - pile well head platforms tied back to existing infrastructure.

On 28 March 2013, CLJOC issued the Letter of Intent (LOI) to PTSC M&C for the scope of providing construction, transportation and installation services for STN Jackets weighing more than 5,700 tons. The First cutting ceremony of the Project was commenced on 20 March 2013.

Simultaneously, PTSC M&C with its engineering subcontractor are also carrying out detailed engineering and procurement support services for STN Topsides at PTSC M&C’s engineering office in Vung Tau City. The engineering work will be tentatively completed in April 2014.

Thao Nguyen
