Blending with the joyful atmosphere of the country on the arrival of the Snake Year-2013, a ceremony to kick off the company services and to start up the tree-planting campaign in memory of Uncle Ho was held at PTSC M&C’s fabrication yard in Vung Tau City.
The ceremony was well-attended with the participants from the People Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, representatives of PetroVietnam, PTSC Headquarters, PTSC M&C’s management board as well as a number of company employees.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dong Xuan Thang- PTSC M&C Director highlighted that though the global economy in 2012 remained uncertain and difficult leading to the not-so-positive situation of Vietnam’s economy, PTSC M&C experienced an extraordinary year in which most of its significant milestones were achieved. These achievements were thanks to the dedicated efforts of the company employees who made great attempt to successfully complete two critically important oil and gas projects namely Bien Dong 1, Su Tu Trang, added by Mr. Thang. Statistically, the company turnover reached more than 11,000 billion VND higher than the targeted number set out in its 2012-business-plan. In addition, Mr. Thang strongly emphasized that 2013 would be designated as another strategic year and PTSC M&C would take up the challenges of the local and regional markets as well as keep striving daily in pursuit of work to successfully and safely complete committed projects and achieve its set goals.
Mr. Le Minh Hong- Vice President of PetroVietnam and Mr. Phan Thanh Tung- Deputy General Director of PTSC also took this opportunity to express their gratefulness to the righteous orientation and support of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province contributed to the development of PTSC M&C and other oil and gas operators/contractors located in the area. Adding to the speech, Mr. Le Minh Hong believed that with the utmost effort dedicated by PTSC M&C’s management board and employees, PTSC M&C would continue to develop its resources and capabilities to achieve another successful business year.
Simultaneously, at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Van Thuong, President of PTSC M&C Union launched the tree-planting campaign. The act of planting and caring for trees is annually held by PTSC M&C to protect Mother Earth and send a powerful message to raise the company employees’ awareness on environmental issues./.
