PTSC M&C welcomed Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC)


A delegation of high ranking officers led by Mr. Alexander Kofi Mensah Mould – Acting Chief Executive of Ghana National Petroleum (GPNC) paid a working visit to PTSC M&C’s premises on 2nd April 2015. Having accompanied GNPC were there representatives from Yinson– the main contractor of the OCTP Ghana FPSO Project (Project).

Mr. Dong Xuan Thang – PTSC M&C’s Director made a presentation briefly introducing its core services and experience levels achieved till date. Over years of development, PTSC M&C has positioned itself as one of the leading technical service providers in Vietnam and heading to gain a strong foothold in regional and global market, Mr. Dong highlighted. Specifically, the Company has been successfully conducting various complex onshore/offshore EPC/EPCI projects for local and international clients with two recent must-be-mentioned international projects namely Heera Redevelopment (HRD) and Maharaja Lela South (MLS) built for ONGC (India) and Total E&P Borneo B.V (Brunei) respectively. The company believes that with its growing capabilities PTSC M&C will deliver good quality to the OCTP Ghana FPSO Project for the client ENI/Yinson & Kanfa.

At the meeting, Mr. Alexander Kofi Mensah Mould provided audiences with an insight into the growth perspective of oil and gas industry in Africa in general and that of Ghana in particular. Additionally, the GPNC delegation expressed their impression on PTSC M&C’s so-far achievements and suggested both parties boost cooperation in oil and gas technical service segment. GNPC’s leaders also hold such a strong belief that goodwill and constructive spirits among PTSC M&C, GNPC, ENI, Yinson, and Kanfa would be promoted to ensure final success of the OCTP Ghana FPSO Project.

Ending the meeting, Mr. Dong Xuan Thang also committed that PTSC M&C would utilize its best resources to successfully complete all required work-scopes of the said Project.

Ghana OCTP Offshore Development Project – At a glance!

In March 2015, Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte. Ltd issued the first Letter of Award (LOA) to PTSC M&C for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and transportation of two topside modules namely MM1, MM2 of the Ghana FPSO weighing approximately 3,500 tons. In continuation to that, PTSC M&C also received the second LOA issued by Kanfa in which its scope includes engineering, procurement, construction and transportation of four Ghana FPSO modules namely MG1, MP1, MU1 and the MI1 with total weight of 2,000 tons. Tentatively the project shall be delivered in May 2016 with final FPSO module integration at Yinson’s fabrication yard in Singapore.
