MLS FIRST CUT CEREMONY

On 04th July 2014, PTSC M&C was of great honor to welcome The Energy Minister of Brunei – Mr. Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin Bin Haji Umar and The Vietnam Ambassador in Brunei – Mr Nguyen Truong Giang to our ceremony of Maharaja Lela South (MLS) Project, which was awarded to PTSC M&C by Total E&P Borneo B.V. (TEPB) in January 2014.

Before this ceremony, on 22nd May 2014, PTSC M&C proudly hosted the first cut ceremony for the 1,500-ton topside of Maharaja Lela South (MLS) Project in PTSC M&C’s yard in Vung Tau City, Vietnam followed by another first cut for a 1,200 ton jacket and 1,150-ton piles in Muara Yard in Brunei on 30th May 2014. 

At the first event, Mr. Dong Xuan Thang – Director of PTSC M&C had expressed his confidence and belief in the final success of the project base on the united determination, diligence and dedication of entire company, as well as emphasized PTSC M&C’s top priority for HSE compliance. 

Also on that occasion, Mr. Régis Vellaud, MLS Project Manager from TEPB emphasized the crucial role of Safety in the final success of the Project. The strict compliance with Total 12 Golden rules is paramount and a pivotal to prevent HSE incidents during project execution, he added. 

After construction, the platform will be installed in a 206 feet water deep area, 50 km offshore Brunei under operation of TEPB at the expected rate of six million standard cubic meters per day. The project completion will mark out PTSC M&C’s growing capabilities in regional market.
