First Cut Ceremony for H5 Topsides and Infield Pipelines

(3/9/2014)

On 29 August 2014, PTSC M&C in coordination with Hoang Long JOC hosted the first cut ceremony of the H5 Topsides and Infield Pipelines at PTSC M&C’s fabrication yard in Vung Tau City, Vietnam.

In continuation to successful implementation of the H1 and H4 wellhead platforms in block 16-1 offshore Vietnam, Hoang Long JOC envisages further installing an H5 wellhead platform over the H5 area and infield pipelines that connect the H5 wellhead platform to the existing facilities at the Te Giac Trang (TGT) field.

As a prime EPCI contractor, PTSC M&C’s work-scope encompasses engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, hook-up and  commissioning services for the H5 wellhead platform of which the jacket and drilling well-bay module 1 weigh more than 1,300 tons, the topsides weight is of 1,850 tons and the infield interconnecting pipelines are of 22 km length. The jacket was successfully fabricated by PVC MS- a local fabricator, and transported to its final location offshore. The installation work is now on-going and scheduled for completion in the early of September 2014.
